MiSana Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using MiSana.

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and AbeVision LLC, a California limited liability company, the owner and operator of MiSana.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MiSana, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

MiSana is a bilingual symptom journal and health-organization app for iPhone. It helps users log symptoms, identify patterns in their own data, manage a household medication list, look up publicly available medication information from NIH/NLM sources, read Apple Health data with permission, and generate a one-page Doctor Brief to bring to a healthcare professional. MiSana processes your data on-device — including pattern analysis and Doctor Brief generation — and does not transmit symptom entries, health notes, or HealthKit data to external servers. For medication-related features, MiSana connects to RxNorm and MedlinePlus (U.S. National Library of Medicine / NIH) to retrieve public medication information; only medication names or barcode numbers are sent, and no personal or health data is transmitted. 3. Not Medical Advice

MiSana is NOT a healthcare provider, medical device, diagnostic tool, treatment tool, medication safety tool, or emergency service. The app provides general educational information and organization tools only. MiSana does not:

Diagnose diseases or medical conditions
Prescribe treatments or medications
Replace professional medical advice
Provide emergency medical services

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. In case of a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Using MiSana as a supplementary informational tool, not as a substitute for professional medical care
Verifying any health information with a qualified healthcare provider
Maintaining the security of your device, as MiSana stores data locally
Ensuring you meet the minimum age requirement (13 years or older)

5. Pattern Detection and Doctor Brief Output

MiSana uses on-device machine learning to identify patterns in your symptom entries and to generate the one-page Doctor Brief. These computed outputs are derived from your own data and may contain inaccuracies. You acknowledge that:

Patterns surfaced and Doctor Brief content are not verified by medical professionals
The on-device model runs locally and its outputs depend on the data you log and the model's training data
You should not rely solely on MiSana's pattern detection or Doctor Brief output for health decisions
Health information citations are sourced from MedlinePlus (NIH), CDC, and WHO. Medication data is verified through RxNorm (NIH). These are U.S. government health databases, not commercial AI services.

6. HealthKit Data

If you grant MiSana access to Apple HealthKit data, you acknowledge that this data is used solely to provide personalized health summaries within the app. All HealthKit data is processed on-device and never transmitted. You can revoke access at any time through your device settings.

7. Intellectual Property

MiSana, including its design, code, content, trademarks, and related materials, is owned by AbeVision LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AbeVision LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to damages related to health decisions made based on information provided by the app.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

MiSana is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the information provided will be accurate or complete.

10. Termination

You may stop using MiSana at any time by deleting the app from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or modify its features at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Significant changes will be communicated through an app update.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States of America.
